At Enhanced Dental Care, we believe in adopting proven dental technologies that produce proven results, quickly and effectively. We have adopted technology that helps us to detect oral maladies while they are in their beginning stages so that we can alert you to issues as they arise and (hopefully) prevent them from taking hold of your mouth. When we can detect cavities, pre-cancers, and gum issues early, we can help you to take steps to prevent them from becoming an issue.
 Digital X-raysDigital X-rays are our first line of defense when it comes to fast, reliable, early detection of oral maladies. X-rays help us to save our patients a tremendous amount of money in the long run. We usually recommend X-rays be taken once a year, so if you are following our recommended schedule of coming in to be seen twice per year, only one of those visits will involve having an X-ray taken.
We use X-rays to detect the following issues before they have a chance to become a problem:

So, what is the advantage to a digital X-ray over traditional X-rays? Digital X-rays are both a huge time saver and add tremendous practical advantages over traditional X-rays. Where traditional X-rays require us to wait 20 minutes for development of the images, digital x-rays are available to be viewed immediately the same way digital pictures are. Digital X-rays are also available to be viewed in high definition, meaning when we view them we do so on a computer monitor and we can zoom in on areas of your mouth. We can share these X-rays with you as soon as we take them.
Digital X-rays expose our patients to a tiny fraction of the radiation that traditional X-rays do. This gives both us and our patients great peace of mind in knowing that they are being exposed to well below the recommended levels of radiation that are allowed by the ADA.
 Ultrasonic ScalersUltrasonic scalers allow us to remove the plaque and tartar that builds up on teeth in a much more comfortable and efficient way than other plaque removal tools. You may remember the days when a trip to the dentist could mean a decent amount of scratching at your teeth with sharp metal tools. This used to be the only way that dental professionals could remove the caked-on tartar and plaque in hard-to-reach areas of your mouth. Now we use the ultrasonic scaler, which uses ultrasonic vibrations to break up and wash away these bacterial build-ups.
 Intra-Oral CameraWhile X-rays allow us to see between and even inside of your teeth, intra-oral cameras allow us to change our viewing angle of your teeth. Intra-oral cameras also allow us to show you what is going on in your mouth by broadcasting a live feed of what the camera sees onto a computer monitor right in front of you.
